The IthacanOnline (Ithaca College’s paper) made a pronunciation pun with their ‘Ho’e Down’ video of the Cayuga Ho’e (pronounced hoy, as in boy). We’ll give them a break – because they put together a great video of the Ho’e called ‘Ho’e Down’. Check it out:
On Fire!
Yesterday we paddled 38.41 miles from the north end of Cayuga Lake to Stewart Park on the south shore. Undaunted by strong head winds, storms, curious boaters or a dwindling supply of chocolate cake we soldiered on. Here is but a tiny excerpt of our journey, starting from shore at Cayuga Lake State Park and covering our run with the wind to the railroad trestle, a quick turn, and then the start of a five hour upwind run. There are two crew changes in there, look for the heads on the right of the movie frame. The music is On Fire! by The Ka’au Crater Boys.
